Unfortunate Love

She is envious of the stars, that are so dainty and bright,
unaware that her presence, is what makes up the night.

He is powerful and mighty, and loved by most
though he longs for her, she can never come close.

she is too shy to be seen, but wishes to be heard
but when she tries to call for him, he cannot hear a word.

He watches in awe, at her elegance and grace
between them, there is always a vast amount of space.

They follow each other hoping to be seen
to him, she is more beautiful than any other queen.

Their unspoken love that the two may share
will continue unnoticed to both sides of the pair.

So they will wait and watch their one true love
waiting for a sign possibly from above.

But the two can never meet, not any time soon.
For he is the sun, and she is the moon.
