Peace

When I have to go,
Will it be slow?
My questions want answers,
I need to know.

My family are grieving,
Whilst I am leaving.
I want to live,
But my hearts sleeping.

Memories of good times in my mind,
I wonder what I will find.
The earth is a wonder,
Harsh but kind.

My bones are aching,
My hands,shaking.
I wish this would stop,
But my hearts breaking.

I wish to leave in peace,
And for the pain to cease.
Come darkness take over,
Let me die in peace.
