As I check my surroundings, the rain pounds on my khaki helmet
My body aches as I struggle to stand up
The force of the bomb in the distant is enough to send me back down
I try and take my first step as I realise I can't feel my right leg
The feeling of heart as it sinks to the bottom is indescribable
My eyes hesitantly look down as all I see is blood and grass
As I realise that is where my leg should be
The painful gun shot I never want to hear is ringing through my ears
I panic
My anxiety grows high
My head turns as shadows run towards me
Their cold glares rush through me as I feel their presence come closer
There's no life left in them as they lift their guns
Silence draws around me and everything
I'm left in my own presence
My body perishes into the bloody grass
Silence...
