They play with their toys made of sticks and leaves
Hungry and dying, this is not what they need
Poor little children dressed in yesterday’s rags
They play in the dirt, yet they never look sad
Their situation worsening though they continue to laugh
With content little eyes and such beautiful hearts
The children of Africa are the poorest of races
But that will not dull the smiles on their faces
One in four Africans go hungry tonight
Though there’s enough food for all, this just isn't right
It's greed that causes this unfair situation
The greed of the rich who ignore the devastation
It’s up to us to help these poor people
To aid these communities and make us all equal
What will you do to change their sad fate?
We need to act now, before it’s too late!
