Light reflects bright off the moon of an open night,
To which a cold hand clutches at mortal strife.
A rare beauty breaks out and succumbs to flight,
Defying all that is holy and searching for life.
While a young boy wanders through the freezing city,
Without food to eat or a home to sleep.
A feather covered in darkness, ignites with pity,
Lands in his hands and buries in deep.
Her sweet voice pierces through the air as a song,
Like a dirge for the gruesomely departed souls.
Sealed by a kiss that rings out like a gong,
The figure plagued by shadows completes its goals.
What could possibly fill man's desire?
Nothing, other than the bite from a vampire.
