I wake every morning with or without the sun
I'm the man working all day until the evening comes.
Blisters and scratches cover the palms of my hands
Lord have mercy on a working man
My pay goes down and my tax goes up
I drink dirty water from a broken cup
i get knocked down but i get back up
I try to shriek and moan but they make me shut up.
I cant even save a dollar I can't even save a cent
How am I to pay my bills if I can't pay my rent I don't live in a house I don't even own a car
How am I to get to work if I have to travel far.
