My Australian Beach

My Australian Beach

As I step out onto the hot summer sand,
That goes between my toes when I walk,
I can see the people arriving to this beach,
Carrying surf boards as they talk.

I'm standing beside the blue silky waves,
I can hear them calling me closer,
The waves are whispering my name as they crash on the sand,
and the wind blowing over my shoulder.

I lie down on the sand and look up at the sky,
With the sun shining on my face,
My mum is calling me for supper,
and I look at this wonderful place.

The sun goes down and I look out of my window,
I'm in my cozy bed all snuggled up tight.
I close my eyes and dream about my beautiful beach,
As I blow out my candle that's flickering in the night.
