A Birds Eye View!

I looked down,
as I look down I see tall figures with round things on top of them, that look like the sun but not as orange or as big.
They also have short sticks connected to the sides of them,that look nothing like wings or feathers.
They have more sticks under their bodies.
They make very wierd noises,worse than the noises I make.
What are these strange living things?
