The Experiment

In the Science Lab I sat
Alone and hopeless, the experiment
A complete failure
The blackboard showed the formula
I'd tried a thousand times
One final go I told myself
And this time I’d get it right

The chemicals were added
And BOOM, BANG, CRACK
Went the beaker as it broke
Smoke rose into the air
A black cloud of nothing
It was something I could compare my life to
A new chemical added and I’d explode
