THE FLASH

It was midnight and Michael lay in bed, trying to fall asleep. The pleated window curtains flapped back and forth as a strong wind rushed into Michael’s bedroom. He lay still, wondering if anything mythical or mysterious could occur. Then suddenly, a red flash of light hit the house, scanning it. He swiftly jumped up. His eyes stared in horror at the slow slithering blood on the floor. It was moving by itself. Michael panted hard. He couldn’t stop. His eyes widened moment by moment. He jumped out of his open bedroom window, staring at everything in absolute shock.
He ran as fast as he could to the local police station. The doors were locked, but one officer was sitting in there completing some paperwork. Michael pounded his clenched fists on the door to get the officer’s attention. He felt embarrassed he was reporting this eerie sight in his pyjamas, but at this rate he honestly didn’t care. The officer stared at Michael through his glasses and then jumped out of the chair and opened the door for him.
“Sir, there was something strange and uncanny in my bedroom,” panted Michael.
“Come in and we can have a discussion about this,” said the officer.
Michael walked inside the police station and closed the door behind them. Then he sat down at the officer’s desk.
“Now what is the problem?” asked the officer sternly.
“Well I was in bed, trying to get to sleep when this swift red flash of light scanned my house and there was moving blood on the floor,” stammered Michael.
“Do you think there is something to it?” asked the officer.
“It is possible that September 1 2020, 12:00AM is the time that hell came to earth,” murmured Michael, slowly turning his head to look out of the window. Then suddenly, two massive bolder rocks hit the police station’s foreyard. An alien figure stepped out of each bolder. Michael turned to look at the officer and screamed. The police officer’s eyes were glowing red and he said, “Welcome to Hell!”
