Family

My family can be weird at times,
My dad is like so horrible at rhymes.
My mum is so straight forward and strict,
My sister can be just plain rude and spit.

Because of this, I have never understood,
That my family did really know my mood.
The times when I was happy and when I was sad,
The times when I was tired and when I was mad.

But after seeing what my friends' family was like,
I felt like I needed to extend my sight.
To go and put my trust in the Light,
Was impossible to me even with all my might.

I now know that my family cares,
My family smiles at me and shares.
My family puts their trust in the Light,
Which what I now feel is absolutely right.
