Early morning a kid was laughing like a hyena yelping
Children’s feet stomping like a stampede of elephants
Murmuring of whispers like the sounds of the tiniest mice
The ball was bouncing like big bangs echoing down the hallway
The kids were walking quickly down the pathway like hundreds of cockroaches
Chairs stacked like dynamite being blown up
Children talking and yelling like volcanoes erupting
The siren is like a werewolf howling
The teacher is yelling like a lion roaring to get in line
Kids are yelling lion cubs roaring back
The chattering sound is like going to the AFL when supporters are yelling
I feel very calm now that I’m at the assembly because we're listening to the principal
