Taken away only when I was four
people tried to escape but white men galore.
In the truck we go separated one from another to different places
a lot off walking around so I better tie my laces.
They made us scamper like little mice
tortured all day and locked up at nights,
and although the food was nice
they thew us into dormitories without any lights.
Worked till I was black and blue
stranded in one spot as hard as it seems I was one injured cockatoo.
Wake up at 6:00 in the morning
straight to work without any warning.
Received the cane for asking a question,
I think I’m going in the same direction.
At the end of my years I felt like a white man trapped in a black man’s body
but most of all I thank Kevin’s kind sorry.
