The end of the year has arrived
The countdown now begins
All parties are in full drive
So bring out the smiles and grins

Resolutions are good to make
But not all are easily kept
Some say it’s a piece of cake
While others take it step by step

Eyelids are starting to close
Little children are yawning
Most are have begun to dose
Because the new year will soon be dawning

The clock’s hands are reaching the top
2014 is so very near
The chatter and excitement is nonstop
3, 2, 1...Happy New Year!
