Waiting hungrily in the long line,
Standing thirstily, losing track of time,
Days, months, years have gone by,
With barely anything to eat or drink to survive,
Holding their meal carefully in their hands,
As they walk back through the dry land,
To their tents made from torn rags,
To share the food and everything else they have,
Night falls and they crawl into bed,
Made from cloths with a mosquito net,
Waiting a long time for their next meal,
Wanting to wake up and find everything unreal.
