MISSING
I look over at you every day,
There’s something missing.
Missing from your face,
Missing from your mind,
Missing from your group,
And most of all missing from you.
One day, I look over,
I see two more figures standing with you,
You’re all laughing and singing.
I stare harder,
I see the two figures vanish.
That’s when I realize what’s missing from your life,
I realize who those two figures were,
I realize where they’ve gone.
Those two little figures,
Standing in the mist,
They are what’s missing,
They are us.
