A Friend Like You

My thoughts are to deep,
To be spoken in word,
My dreams are too quiet,
To ever be heard,
My hopes are never to be held,
They're always in my head,
My wishes never seem to come true,
They might as well be dead,
My sorrows never leave,
But sometimes they are lighter,
My friends always care,
Making my life brighter,
But sometimes I feel that no one is there,
And I seem to be alone,
I face the world by myself,
Solitary, on my own,
But then you're there with me,
Helping me hold my head high,
Feeling what I feel,
Encouraging me to fly,
And when you are with me,
I can do anything, I'm able,
To attempt the impossible,
To stand firm and stable,
My thoughts are so deep,
But now I can speak,
When I know you're there,
My dreams I can seek,
My hopes, though they may be foolish,
Are never weak you decide,
My wishes can wait or be fulfilled,
Everything's possible by your side,
My sorrows you comfort,
And always understand,
Another friend like you,
Couldn't be found in all the land.
