I Am My Own Hunter

I have chosen
To journey alone
On a path where demise
Is the thief who reaps from his own
For though it liberates me
I am entangled on a quest by which meets no limits
And for all I know, could end
in a heartbeat
In a desire
In a passion, a realisation
For something other
So am I boundless?
Or captive in my hunger?
Restless in pursuit,
of dreams- expired?
Firing arrows I reach
promises forged of mirrors.
Like a parable I read but cannot decipher
For lone in moment it finally reflects
that I am no more than my own hunter.
