The curly locks of his chestnut hair,
His azure blue eyes stare with a quixotic glare,
His hands enclose mine, an answer to my prayer,
I'm screaming within from pure satisfaction.
The butterflies in my rib cage cannot be dismissed,
His lips so tender, it's hard to resist,
A striking impulse to brush him a kiss,
Underneath the sagging leaves of a lonesome palm tree.
He whispers something surreptitious into my ear,
And in an instant my thoughts are made clear,
He says that he loves me, sounding sincere,
He catches me glimpse at my trembling hands.
He nods slightly, his hair reflecting the sunlight,
He takes off, my stomach clenched tight,
A whirlwind forms within, my heart catches alight,
I pinch myself aggressively, and then I awaken.
