Now, you may think that history doesn't matter
But I tell you now that is definately wrong.
I'll tell you of people, their skill I'll flatter.
Rome was a Republic, but did they belong?
Caesar and Augustus were the players of power.
They created reforms, and defined change.
The souls of the senate they seemed to devour.
The deaths of their enemies they arranged
And so an Empire was created through death,
through secrets, and lies they controlled all things
Until finally the senate had drawn its final breath.
Thus led to an age controlled by kings.
