The Elements

I am the earth you walk on,
Where you grow your plants and trees,
Where you all frolic and faun,
you couldn’t live without me.

I’m the water you swim in,
Where you drink, wash and play,
I promise, ill cleanse you of sin,
Let your troubles all wash away.

I am the fire you fear,
which burns, and scalds and causes pain,
but I also give warmth and make things clear,
You couldn’t cook without me, please don’t hold me in disdain,

I am the air that you breathe,
I am the wind that blows in your hair,
I’m what makes your oceans seethe,
You can't see me, but you always know I’m there

We give you life.
