Nature's Reverie (A Ballad To The Moon)

When the sun dips down below the trees
Won’t you take a look and listen please
Just take a peek and look for the sign
To see the night with the moon’s small shine

close your eyes and listen to the trees
as their leaves begin to rustle in the breeze
can you hear the dingo howl in the night
or listen to the bats as they take to flight

can you see the moon shine in the lake
and can you see just what is at stake
when that owl dives down for its prey
causing the mouse to swiftly run away

did you notice the quiet desert or the silent sea
and did you know that this is nature’s reverie
have you realized that the moon makes it reality
have you realized this is what nature means to me
