As I wake to a brand new dawn
The beginning of autumn on the 1st of March
I rub my eyes with a long hard yawn
Stretching my legs to feel my back arch
I then jump from my comfy bed
Reality has just kicked in
Today is my birthday instead
An instant party mode I'm in
It's a day I'll rave on with friends
For today I turn fourteen
I've discovered fun new trends
And wonder what they mean
From a girl to a young lady now
I ponder over my past
For life's been one big wow
I'm happy; it's all been a blast
