Excellence Award in the 'Write As Rain 2014' competition

If you had the time to believe,
In things that no-one could perceive,
Seeing elephants flowing as a river,
Or a toad with a bow and a quiver.
If you had the time to believe,
That you could go and retrieve,
Saturn's rings from inside a ticket booth
Or maybe, even, a dragons tooth.
If you had the time to believe,
About things that you could possibly achieve,
Like building a colony on the moon,
Or stopping a major typhoon.
If I had the time to believe,
I would never have been so naive,
So from now on, I will let my mind stray,
And start believing without any delay.
