One hot sweltering day Mary was out playing with her friends Carla and Jonathan. Soon they came past a brightly coloured ice cream truck with bright yellow, orange and pink swirls,it was covered with pictures of happy, cheerful little children with smiles so big that It nearly took up their whole face. "Those children look so happy on the van maybe seeing how it's so hot we should get ice cream too" mentioned Mary "that sounds like a splendid idea" replied Carla "yeah and we can sit over there " said Jonathan. As the three children approached the van Mary said " GIVE ME THREE ICE CREAMS NOW" the person behind the truck looked astonished by the way Mary approached them and said "sorry but you need to leave I do not like the way you approached me and asked for the ice cream so goodbye". Right at that moment the ice cream truck drove off and left a big cloud of thick black smoke behind it. " maybe you should use your manners next time Mary" said Carla angrily,
"yeah she's right we are hot too " cried Jonathan " oh sorry guys i will try harder next time" answered Mary sorrily. The next day they came across a breakfast bar, "look over there it's a breakfast bar" said Jonathan " hooray I'm hungry" answered Mary " let's get something to eat " replied Carla. So as they where walking up to the breakfast bar Carla mentioned " DONT FORGET YOUR MANNERS ".so Jonathan said to the man behind the counter " can we please have three breakfast rolls and three cold drinks of lemon aid", " most certainly sir and for using your manners you can have 50 percent off your meal " replied the man behind the counter " thank you " said Jonathan, using manners really does count.
