Red the knife of the chief,
Blue the haunt of her belief,
Beautiful the light of his birth,
Grim the shadow of the new mans earth,
Cold the beat of her soul,
Warm the heat of his coal,
Old the rhythm of the human race,
Young the soldiers at the base,
High the bright light of the sun,
Low the boom of the gun,
Dry the tear of his love,
Wet the stormy dark sky above,
Found the crystal that shines the least,
Gone the beggar of the beast,
Happy when the child has fun,
Sad when the story's done.
