I got on a plane to fly to Australia,
Not knowing what was to come
A land I heard so vast and harsh,
Where there were Bogans and unruly people
When I arrived it came to my surprise,
That people were splendid
The blazing sun was magnificent,
The site of the beach was breathtaking
What I wonderful country this was,
Until I went to the outback,
A hot, dry and vast place,
Where for miles you could only see red dirt
Even though some parts of the land didn’t appeal to me,
I do love the beaches, the people and sun
I have grown a love for this land,
And I’m proud to call Australia home.
