These links of deepest blue,
Tying our family together
Though at times they may be strained,
They will remain forever
These black, hardened links of hatred
Dark and cold and strong
Forged and feared by all
Though we are often wrong
These flaring, red links of lovers
Powerful, yet easily crushed
We are often sceptical
But these bonds are forged by trust
These colourful links of friendship,
Flaring brightest when in strife
Though many colours will come and go,
Some will remain for life
