Let there be light.
Imagine the force that gives life to you and me
was actually mediated by
a massless particle of energy.

Love one another.
To think such joy and sensitivity
and the complex emotions we share for each other
could arise from such simple chemistry.

Know thyself.
Who could have thought such dull scenery
was really the amazing product of cells
creating micro-machinery?

So when the world tries your persistence
and leaves you weary or cynical,
just remember that your very existence
is nothing short of a miracle.
