Bang.
I couldn’t get the image out of my head.
I couldn’t stop hearing the noise.
I couldn’t stop seeing the blood.
Bang.
I shouldn’t have seen it.
I wasn’t meant to see.
I was meant to be asleep.
Bang.
Dark brown hair, white nightgown.
She was standing on the edge, clear water behind her.
Her middle sank faster, the blood flowing out her.
Bang.
She saw me there.
She knew that I had seen.
She didn’t cry, it must have hurt.
Bang.
And he stood there, still in his dinner jacket.
Arm stretched out, gun in hand.
Bang.
