Being a teenager is one of those things life throws at you.
People ask if you're ok, you want to lie but say "it's just a bad day".
If somebody compliments you,
No you don't believe it
Those nasty words, although untrue
Knifes aimed at your heart
To them, we're just a nuisance
Misfits who don't belong but we're,
kids at heart, teenage girls trying to be strong.
You feel understood in the words of your favourite songs.
Looking at the romance you wish included you,
ain't nobody like you, yet they ain't wanting you. I know you're not ok but don't say goodbye. Put down that razor, put down that knife,
It might be hard, but you'll win this fight.
