I got home from school,
It wasn’t fair,
I looked around the backyard,
It wasn’t fair.
Mum said he ran away,
Dad said they sold him,
My dog was gone,
My days were dim.
He was as big as a bear,
But as soft as a bunny,
He never barked,
He was my honey.
Time went past and Christmas came,
My dad saw a friend,
His gift was cancer,
He was really dead.
A tear ran down my face,
My face went red,
Memories went round,
They went around my head.
