Disgust, Sadness, Blackness,
Worthless emotions on the field of war,
But I can’t help what I saw,
Tears stream down my face,
Coppery blood filling my mouth like a rancid taste,
Disgust is what I feel,
For all the people that I’ve killed,
Sadness is what I keep bottled inside,
Because crying makes me think it’s a crime,
Blackness is the trauma and resentment that fills me to the brim,
Because I can’t help but reason with what I did,
I feel sad,
I may even be going mad,
But I can’t help it,
Because this is war,
