You Stood Tall

Delicate as a flower
With petals fragile but unique
Your petite green arms open to the world
Oh how you feared to close your eyes
For your Dreams taunt you in your sleep
Autumn was like a punch
Winter was like a kick
Twigs pulled your hair
Rocks crushed your soul
Until the sun filtered through you
You beautifully bloomed and grew
There you stood tall.
