Mirrored Blue

The sea, the sky,
Forever the same, forever apart,
The sky is mirrored by calm waters,
the sea, with its tiny silver fish,
is like a star filled sky,
the coral are the constellations, twisting, shining colours,
The night sky is a frozen sea,
the fish saying still, no longer darting back and forth,
the constellations, tiny sparkles in the endless dome of sky,
but the sea is stretched before me,
just a few short steps away,
and the sky is far above,
to me, untouchable, a dream land of stars,
the sea, the sky,
never the same, never really apart.
