It’s old and worn
Title of gold once grand, now faded
Creased pages, rough edges
Drowning in the dust collected from the passage of time
But beyond the wearied pages
And beneath tides of words
Timeless stories emerge
Ink flung across age-worn paper
A tumult of tangled emotions
Innocence
Love
Fear
Guilt
Tired dreams, broken hopes
A million tears, silent woes
Sunsets, sunrise
A love serenade
Words splashed
