This silence,
it’s the world pausing to behold your detonation.
I can see the defeat clouding your eyes,
your desolate stare.
Your bright eyes
in the dark
have dimmed.
As a wounded animal
you are coaxed from your tunnel
of nightmares.
A smile
here,
a chuckle
there,
the storm now
miniscule.
Let yourself fall
to new lows,
so you know
to live
for summits
of beauty.
