Tekarshi

Excitement filled the room as the last few painful, dreadful minutes dragged on until what seemed like a merciful angel singing, filled the hall into
every room, as a stampede of children came running and screaming “NO MORE SCHOOL!” Cassimere, a tall blond girl with bright blue energetic eyes
grabbed Iosa, a shorter girl with blonde hair and beautiful silver eyes as if their lives depended on it. “I can’t believe it’s the end of school
already!” puffed Iosa. “Am I coming home with you?” asked Cassimere nearly screaming. “OF COURSE!” yelled Iosa. The two girls ran to their bikes like
gorillas. They peddled as fast as they could until their legs nearly fell off.
They stopped at a bright red and white house. “What about a game of hide and seek?” insisted Cassimere. “I’ll count” replied Iosa. They sprinted inside
and Iosa started counting straight away. Cassimere had played this many times before and was running out of ideas where to hide, so she went to hide
in the washing basket, but just before she touched the clothes they fell down into a vibrant blue, yellow and pink tunnel. “IOSAAA!” screamed
Cassimere, her ear piercing scream flowing down the hall. Iosa was there in a flash, “whaaaa…?” Iosa stopped, as she just found the answer to her
question. Before anyone could say anything, they were pulled into the basket.
A thousand whispers disappeared as Cassimere opened her eyes. “Tekarshi…” She was lying in a field of blue and white flowers that soon flowed to sand and
soon into crystal aqua water. Cassimere felt a nervous knot tighten her stomach. Minutes passed that felt like hours. She listened carefully for the
sound of Iosa’s kind voice. The wind whistled and the birds hummed various songs; one hummed the song her mother used to sing for her, she soon found
herself crying among the many flowers. “Why are you crying?” asked a sweet innocent voice. Cassimere looked down at her feet, surprised to see a seven
inch porcelain cat dressed in a red checked long sleeve shirt with denim overalls. “Name’s Honeycomb” he introduced. “I’m Cassimere” sniffled Cassimere wiping tears from her face. “And I’m crying because I’m lost and can’t find my best friend” “Does she look like you?” he asked. “Kinda” murmured Cassimere. “I’ll take you to her” he gestured holding out his paw.
A few metres around the beach she found Iosa sleeping against a silver tree.
Iosa awoke and flung her arms around Cassimere. “How do we get home?” sobbed Iosa. “Don’t worry, Tekarshi isn’t a dangerous place, it’s a place where
you learn what is most valuable to you.” explained Honeycomb. They walked with Honeycomb into a forest. A sparkling amber castle stood before them.
They explored the extraordinary castle and met many ‘Picilo’ (pixie like creatures with animal tales.) After their meaningful tour around the castle, the girls fell asleep. When they awoke, they found themselves in Iosa’s yard as a humming bird flew by.
