They never expected their very first meeting,
To be on a night so sudden, but at the same time fleeting
For she had loved before, but in a different way,
Not unconditionally, never a permanent stay
She needed someone to give strength provided,
To close the gap when her heart divided
While the sand stung her legs and arms so bare,
A realisation came, she was made aware
That the man who was standing not three feet apart,
Had ever so gently stolen her heart
She watched as the wind caressed his face,
In the silence of the sky, they made their first embrace
And with the dangerous elements of the world exposed,
She had never felt safer against the smell of his clothes
All the doubts and worries they ever possessed,
Were swept out to sea, joining forces with darkness
For a storm was brewing, it would always be told,
That the first lightning strike connected their souls
