First they say you're too old
Then they say you're too young
Whichever way that you’re told
You’ll always end up wrong
Even if you’re right
You stay up late and contemplate all night
Thinking “Where did I go wrong?
Oh, this life just seems so long”
Stuck in the middle
Of being an adult and being little
You’re never quite sure
Which end of the scale weighs more
Filled with rage and wistful tears
These are the teenage willful years.
