The fields of lush, green grass,
Sprinkled with dew.Barly,
Blows in the wind.
The sandy horses lollop from field to field,
Grass hammering agaist their legs,
Hoofs pounding. As they scrape the dirt away,
A letter rises out of the earth,
Torn and singed,dated with 1942.
The sunset appears, auburn and gold,
Speckled with wispy pink candyfloss like, Clouds, and lined with silver.
The cold approaches and fires crackle merrily,
Soft, white, powdery snow dances down,
Through the icy wind, blessing the land.
The clock ticks on,as the sun arises,
Children's laughter rings through the morning.
Rocks peer out of the crisp, crunchy snow,
Covered in jade lichen like a crocheted doily.
