Stumbling out, into a barely visible haze;
A bleak reality, confronted daily.
Wandering, feet, dragging close behind,
The plain routine, becoming taxing.
Recurring news bombarding, whilst awaiting,
Negligent of the sounds and movements around me.
Another’s voice muttering a phrase,
Grumbling a thanks, as though it’s routinely
Onward I shuffle,
Another sound projected towards me.
Continuing movement, continuing structure;
Shuffling on forward, I maintain my pace.
Leaving the entrance, proceeding with haste,
A bleak reality, confronted daily.
Striding off, now, feet leading the way,
The plain routine, merely a start.
