A headland view,
An army of waves,
Surge towards the shore in formation.
“Take the dunes” whispers the wind.
“I will weather the rocks.”
They are allies.
A battalion of houses below,
Like statues, they stand their ground
Watching the creep,
Inch by inch.
“Be brave, stand tall.”
The high ground is being taken.
Should I help?
Gather some troops,
To gain size,
To change the tide.
