A Day In The Life Of An Apple

I open my eye, the world in sight,
Wait, it’s all green, I blow it out of my way,
It was just a leaf, I’m hanging on with all my might,
My stork is hanging on to a tree.
What! I’m about one metre off the ground,
The days went by I grew bigger,
Soon the day would come when I was put on the mound,
Then I get packed into a truck.
That day is here, I’m ripe and red,
I feel something around me bang,
My stork is ripped from the tree, I’m put to bed,
In the fruit bowl where I rest.
I met some new friends along the way,
Something picked me up, I’m put in a dark bag,
I’m put on a table I say,
“No”, it was the end of the line for me, an apple.
