I hear silence,
The wind blows hard but I stay focused.
I know 3 seconds is almost over.
I shoot,
It spins around a few times but it goes in.
Cheers fill the court as the timer goes off.
Colours of red, black, white, blue and orange.
I check the score sheet and see we won.
The team’s sweaty bodies collide as we sing our victory song.
This is what netball feels like!
