The children of drowned dreams
We are never going to be known as,
The children of a brighter future,
Mute to the fact that we are,
Abysmal in every aspect,
That they are the ones,
We have realized the truth.
Loved, wanted, cherished,
We know that we are,
Broken, used, discarded, unwanted
People’s opinions may never change,
And what their beliefs may dictate
How we perceive their message
Unless we choose to change
