Lying on my bed, living on a prayer,
For I am in the depths of my despair.
I look out my window and start to stare,
Looking at the other children, it isn't quite fair.
Out of all of them I was the one,
They don’t even realize that they won.
Eating my food that tastes so bland,
As other children skip hand in hand.
I sit there sadly tear after tear,
While the beeping of the heart monitor in all that you hear.
Happiness comes in doses so mild,
For I am just a little hospital child.
