One thousand were found
seven million thought.
They stand again
to teach what we taught
to tell our thousand stories.
So they never fade,
and to pass them on,
decade through decade
Us Six million men
have passed to pass
the knowledge on,
And now at last
we hope not to be forgotten,
our memories forever last.
Us six million men
wish luck to our comrades
who have lived through hell
all those fathers and dads
we shake their spell
Us six million men
have only but one regret
That we never got to see freedom
so we ask, do not forget
Us six million men
no longer stand as soldiers
but as men who wanted to see their families again.
Us six million men,
now bid our farewell.
We fought for your freedom,
and so did well
Us six million men.
