I Am So Proud

They stand so tall
so proud
for their country
however in a foreign land
amongst a foreign crowd

He left his family to be with anyone unknown
however they were known as brothers from the very get go
he distanced himself from everything he knew
and entered onto unfamiliar grounds

He understands the sacrifice he must make
facing off against death and despair
so we can show our little care and freely roam
this place we call home

they have nothing within those desolated lands
and I just want it all to be over
but the sound that erupts from the distance
is my sign that it has once again begun.
