The day was fair, as if from a dream,
A perfect day as is for a perfect scene,
But on this beautiful, wonderful day,
The scene was not perfect, not at all, in any way
The demon that held a boys life in its hands
Found that the boy did not meet his demands,
And though he had done no murder, mayhap done no more than lie,
The demon proclaimed it was his time to die,
Nothing left, no cure for his hurt,
Nothing to do but let him die in comfort,
And family and friends, watched on and they cried,
As a too young brilliant boy slowly died.
